Bennett Wagons

The 10 tonne bennett wagon ‘All The Go’ at Marlie Stud was built in 1913 at St Mary’s in Sydney by James Bennett. It spent most of its days in Forbes NSW driven by Wilf Norris O.A.M

Bennett wagons were highly regarded as the best heavy horse transport wagons available. Each wagon built had its own name and had exceptional craftmanship. They were used in both rural and urban areas.

In its recent years, Marlie Stud has taken ‘All The Go’ 14km down Parramatta Road from Parramatta Park to Homebush Stadium for the 200 years of the Royal Agricultural Society.
